Many thanks to @wgpothier and @pattibcondon for this terrific @PortalJournal editorial explaining the importance of librarian involvement in data literacy education:
So true! One of the best parts of editing is the opportunity to see the evolution of an article as a result of formative and thoughtful reviewer feedback.
Excited to take on this new role leading @PortalJournal and grateful to my inspiring predecessor โ current portal Past Editor and Dean of @LUCLibraries Marianne Ryan. โฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธ
A quick thread about how I approach a literature review when I am unfamiliar with the topic.
Note: There are several ways to do this and my way is not the only way nor the only right way. If you have alternate approaches please share! I love hearing how people approach writing.
@Markie_Jay06@rcooper@psulibs Awwโ thank you, DeMarcus! I loved learning about your ACID method for reading articles โ I will use and recommend that in the future. ๐คฉ

Thanks to @CarmenCCole and @emalinem for this thoughtful and innovative article on inclusive hiring practices, including a dissection of the notion of 'fit' in academic librarianship:
@ruthbrarian I had a grant project that worked with Zotero on that folder and auto-recognizing and importing it into Scholarsphere on the user's behalf. It worked from ScholarSphere but I wanted the action to initiate in Zotero. Couldn't happen. ๐
@ruthbrarian If itโs still there โ it was right around the intersection of Chestnut Ridge Dr and Hickory Hill drive. It looked like it was in great shape. I will DM you any additional finds I see tonight or tomorrow! ๐คฉ
@ruthbrarian I did see a full porch swing โ hard to describe but a seated swing that you could basically place anywhere โ tonight. It was in Chestnut Ridge.
