Yesterday, i was pleased to convene a consultative meeting with key actors of Algeria’s gaming ecosystem developers, associations, content creators, professional players alongside telecom operators.

The objective was clear: listen, align, and build the foundations of a structured and competitive video-game industry in Algeria.

This year, we will launch Fiber Game, Algeria’s first major national e-sports and gaming event, to position our country on the continental and international gaming map, attract global players, and unlock local talent.

Starting February 5, Algérie Télécom will upgrade its Fiber Gamers offer, delivering higher speeds, improved quality of service, and lower latency.

Africa’s gaming market reached $1.8B in 2024 and is expected to exceed $3.5B by 2027–2029.

Our ambition is clear: capture 10% of this market by 2028, or $400M, and place Algeria among the leaders of this fast-growing sector.

Gaming is not just entertainment. It is jobs, innovation, exports, and digital sovereignty.

في إطار سلسلة اللقاءات التشاورية التي يشرف عليها السيد سيد علي زروقي، وزير البريد والمواصلات السلكية واللاسلكية، لدعم وتطوير صناعة الألعاب الإلكترونية (Gaming Industry) في الجزائر، و في لقاء جمع السيد الوزير بعدد من ممثلي مجتمع الألعاب الإلكترونية بمختلف مكوناته بما فيها شبكة Just Play it، أين تم فتح نقاش مباشر حول واقع قطاع الألعاب في الجزائر وسبل تطويره.

🔴 أكّد السيد الوزير، بهذه المناسبة، الإعلان عن أول حدث وطني رسمي للألعاب الإلكترونية، والذي سيكون قيد الإنجاز والتنظيم خلال الفترة القادمة، و نتشرف بأن نكون من مستشاري هذا الحدث الذي يطمح لأن يجمع مختلف الفاعلين في منظومة الألعاب الإلكترونية، في فرصة لتعزيز الابتكار، التنافس، وبناء صناعة محلية قادرة على التموقع إقليميًا ودوليًا.

🔴 وخلال هذا اللقاء، تم التطرّق إلى تحسين تجربة اللاعبين (Gamers) فابتداءً من يوم الخميس 05 فيفري بتحيين عرض “Fiber Gamers” ، من أجل منح مستخدمي خطوط الألياف البصرية الاستفادة من تجربة استعمال محسّنة من حيث السرعة وجودة الخدمة، خفض زمن الاستجابة، Ping ويضع الاتصال في مستوى الأداء الذي يتطلبه اللاعبون. بالإضافة إلى جوانب تهم المطورين الجزائريين من أجل تشجيعهم على تطوير عناوين و مشاريع أكثر في صناعة الالعاب.

🔴 يمثل هذا اللقاء خطوة مهمة نحو إدماج الجزائر بقوة في الخارطة القارية والدولية لصناعة الألعاب الإلكترونية، وفتح آفاق جديدة أمام الشباب والمهتمين بهذا القطاع الواعد
