Youth unemployment can’t be tackled without investing in the people and programmes that make a difference.
Last week, @NDIronsMP shared the story of Rania and her Trust youth worker, Charlie. Their story is proof that with the right support at the right time, lives change.
@simon_reeve @Cfieldtheatres Loved seeing you in Aylesbury last night - and really appreciated you sharing your early life experiences and how you kept trying despite some setbacks. Thank you for that!

Brenda Oldfield is 89 and has voted in every election. She tells us why voting matters.
It may not have hit the headlines, but last week’s official labour market stats suggests the number of young people not in employment, full-time education or training (NEET), is at its highest level in almost a decade (since winter 2014/15).

As you watch the Aurora this evening, it’s worth reflecting that you’re getting a rare direct glimpse of the power of Nature. Those charged particles causing the atmosphere to glow came from a sunspot complex 17 times the diameter of Earth and traveled across 90 million miles at a million miles an hour. Without our magnetic field to protect us, our atmosphere would have been lost to space long ago. Those colours in the sky are Nature reminding us that we’re very lucky to be here amidst the violence. And perhaps therefore also reminding us not to shite it all up :-)
Wow. Not to make light of the power & beauty of this piece, but there’s some serious cosmic unfairness going on when a man who can play like @MarcusRashford can also write like this.
Lovely to be invited - All Party Parliamentary Group on Apprenticeships meeting again with @charlotte2153 MP a great friend of the @PrincesTrust. In the mix with leading politicians in the skills and policy space and those partners directly involved in coordinating provision.
@MrGeorgeClarke@BBCRadio4@BBCr4today Great to hear you championing self-build housing ambitions for young people tonight @mrgeorgeclarke .... So many more innovative ideas like this are needed to address this vast affordability divide
I’m determined that every child has an excellent education and access to opportunities to help them thrive. Was a pleasure to visit @PrincesTrust in London today to see how they are supporting young people get skills for life
Desperately hope they find the submarine, but the fate of the 5 people on it has already received far more attention than the 78 who drowned in one tragedy off the coast of Greece last week - surely that should make us pause for thought.
We are no longer accepting @AvantiWestCoast and @LNRailway tickets between London Marylebone and Birmingham Moor Street as our services are extremely busy this evening.
If you have been disrupted, please use alternative routes and check your journey with your train operator.
