A girl orders an Uber after a night out. Everything seems normal at first, but a few minutes into the ride she notices a strong, foul smell inside the car. Then her arm starts to feel numb. Her instincts kick in; she texts her friends to track her location. As the ride continues, she becomes unusually sleepy, struggling to stay alert. Panicking, she asks the driver to pull over and starts opening the door, trying to get out before things get worse. She later ends up in the hospital.
Situations like this are terrifying, and while we don’t always know what’s happening in the moment, listening to your body and trusting your instincts can make all the difference. Small actions; sharing your ride, staying alert, speaking up; can be life-saving.
What safety steps do you always take when getting into a rideshare, and would you have reacted the same way in this situation?

"[Dan's] been working at Domino’s as a second job for 14 years… and he’s retiring in just a few weeks..."
About $50,000 has been raised for Dan so far.

This is what we did in school back in the day. It was one of the home economic courses called Cooking I II and III. What the schools stopped teaching can be taught at home...for everyone.
