@KevinAntlitz I don’t think it’s exactly the same. These texts happen to be the best remaining testimony we have of Jesus but the historical and theological reality conveyed in them is not a function of their divine inspiration. If anything I might say it’s the other way around.

@KevinAntlitz I’ve always found “self-authentication” unsatisfying taken on its own as a text apart from the historic person and work of Christ. Also you still have to enter the circularity of the tautology at some point for some reason… it’s not self evident.

Grad Students: No one will care about your research as much as you do. Accept that and do the best job you can in writing it all up. Because, honestly, you'll probably be the only one reading it too, and you don't want to bore yourself with a bad read.
