SAD NEWS: Several people were reportedly kidnapped at about 10:30 PM last night during an attack in the Millennium City area of Kaduna State.

May Allah grant them safety and comfort their loved ones during this difficult time.

Nigeria cannot continue to normalize kidnappings. How many more innocent lives must be torn apart before stronger action is taken to stop this crisis?

A day after I tweeted this, Bandits broke into my brother’s house and attempted to kidnap him and his wife, na prayers and fast response of police which we mobilized and took there in time that saved him. They got tired and left when they noticed police presence in the area.

This is based on the Mālikī principle that rukhaṣ (legal concessions) are tied to a valid reason, and a journey undertaken specifically for disobedience is not treated as a journey deserving that concession

@ayinde_uba @MuhammadAYounus In the Mālikī madhhab, the ruling is that qasr (shortening the prayer) is not permitted for a journey undertaken for the purpose of sin (safar al-maʿṣiyah). He/she will pray complete prayers with no shortening
