@dhh It's fascinating to see how hard you try to convince the world (and yourself it seems) that you are not a racist when this is in fact what your own words mean by definition. Talking about cognitive dissonance...
I think you're perfectly illustrating the limits of your own understanding. No one will ever learn empathy from a book or statistics. I'm pretty sure if you had only one true and friendly relationship with any of the people your discarding as criminals here, you would see them as what they are: fellow humans. Some better, some worse.
@GTSmoz@dhh Since I guess it's empathy you're confusing with weakness here, I really wonder how you differentiate yourself from, say, a snail or a fly or something. Pretty much any higher developed species has it, so what are you?
@CuriousWbt@dhh I think the group dynamics of normalizing xenophobic behavior have led to the worst chapters in human history and it seems to be happening all over again
One thing that helps a lot when designing in code with opus 5.5 is to have it create lots, like 10+ (or 100+ for smth tiny) of any given thing, then pick a winner or winners and iterate on those. There is almost always a gem in anything it creates, but usually it has absolutely no clue which one it is and this is where "taste" comes in. Also works when giving it access to imagegen.
@mitsuhiko On the one hand, it’s an impressive achievement; on the other, the giddy excitement of the man-child manosphere makes the whole thing feel appalling to me.
