Defending yourself may be an instinctual response in an argument, especially if the convo descends into personal attacks and generalities (i.e., you never, you always). Take a moment. Breathe. Choose your words wisely. Do you want to argue, or do you want to resolve the conflict?
Many of us live at a frantic pace. There's constant noise in our lives. We're always "connected." But are we actually connecting with others?
Busyness does not equal importance.
Today, be intentional in your relationships. Make time to spend with those you love and care about.
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
When we must rejoice? "Always"
When we must pray? "Always"
When we must give thanks? "Always"

If it is valuable to you, you will do it. And if you don't value things, you will just make excuses. Always remember that you will do the things you value.
