When it comes to recovery, there's a lot of junk that doesn't work. We reach for a super supplement, instead of what actually works:
1. Sleep ~8 hours
2. Hydrate adequately
3. Socialize with friends
4. Have a way to decompress
5. Eat enough real food
6. Slow/easy exercise
1992 the Western Community Arts Center opened—for 30 years we've enjoyed a variety of events in our auditorium.
4p April 23, Western Theater Department invites you to join us as we applaud the many ways this facility has benefited the actors, musicians, and singers of the WSD
@ericalynndoug In Mich. we don’t have javelin or triple jump. Rumor has it @MHSAA won’t consider javelin for perceived “safety” reasons. But we should add jav and shuttle hurdles
@ericalynndoug Sounds like Iowa needs to relegate some relays. Put the FIELD in track & field. But consider: TJ is an easy add, but pulls from same pool of sprinter/jumpers. Jav throwers often don’t already have a natural field event.
@jinosencio12 I student-taught in MQT with a guy who worked for NBC covering the Atlanta and Sydney Olympics. A colleague of ours did his undergrad at Harvard. Perception is a combo of “why aren’t you doing more?” and “are you sure you can relate to ‘normal’ people?”
Today a student said to me “Why would you go to Michigan if you were just going to become a teacher?” And even though that is clearly a slight, he didn’t mean it to be one. We MUST drastically change how our society views education and educators
Western coach Nick Rulewicz looks on as his team celebrates their 15-0 win over Mattawan. The first-year head coach will take the Panthers next week to Harper Creek for Round 2 of the @MHSAA D3 playoffs. @MrNRulewicz@wpanthersports
Justin Tucker's NFL record 66-yd FG in the Ravens' win over Detroit Sunday marks the 2nd time in Lions history that they have lost a game on a record-setting field goal.
On Nov. 8, 1970, the Saints' Tom Dempsey hit a then-record 63-yd FG to beat the Lions in New Orleans.
