@Atrix_21 Two things that trip up most people: put app-ads.txt on the developer website listed in Play Console (serving stays limited until AdMob verifies it), and register your own phone as a test device before you ever open the release build.
@melj_own 2.2% paying out of monthly actives is solid. On the ad side, format mattered more than traffic for us: native units came out around $8.85 per 1,000 impressions vs $0.23 for banners, since it tracks time in app. Worth a test if you're still on banners.
Added Equativ as an open bidding source in AdMob on 9/30. First 2 days: ~7,700 bid requests, ~0.3% match rate, 25 impressions, $0.00.
Losing bids cost nothing, so it stays on for 2 weeks before I decide. #indiedev#AdMob
@Strangeees Nice. One thing that tripped us up with the AdMob API: it only takes OAuth user credentials, service accounts aren't supported, so for cron or CI you end up keeping a refresh token around. Might be worth a line in the README.
@pcshipp First cents are the hardest. On a low-traffic app, revenue follows time spent in the app per user more than installs. On our apps a native unit earned many times what a banner did per 1,000 impressions, so a native ad on the screen people stay on longest is worth a try.
A week ago I switched two of my apps to AdMob's higher minimum eCPM floor to push eCPM up. By that evening ads had basically stopped showing on both. On a low-eCPM app the floor just rejects most bids. Rolled it back the same night. Change one ad unit at a time, if at all. #AdMob
@eglitisX Congrats on the record day. For #2, AdMob shows the exact rejection reason on that app's settings page, and you can request another review there once it's fixed. Most common one: the app isn't linked to its live store listing yet.
@McfcNaijaKing@PubConnections That's frustrating, sorry. If the community post got no answer, I honestly don't know a faster official route than waiting out the review. Keep the app live on Play with the ad units in place so it's ready the moment the account is approved.
