@SirStrangefolk@MsGuidedButSoft@barenziahh@benedict_rs The very existence of a "canon" implies a central authority regarding a work (i.e the medieval church, or copyright holder). The Bible was not called intellectual property, as that concept is from capitalism, but the same applies. Most culture doesn't stem from a singular source.
@buffalodani85@frothymoisture @rcerler @PlankySmith @PissJugTycoon If you are concerned with people making money unfairly while the working class suffers, the least of your concerns is youtubers.
@canyonheatblast @marx_attacks_ @CrungyS @Quirklessmo @bIondiewasabi I think we have vastly different definitions of communism and capitalism. My focus is anarchist and marxist, and so the focus is on capital, and the capitalist mode of production. I have no idea what capitalism means to you.
@dislikesfascism @ranchcornnut @shereeny Capital does not value any labour which it cannot exploit. Hence nobody would call spending time with their children "work", despite this being a form of labour more useful and productive than most jobs under capitalism. Unpaid labour most often falls on the shoulders of women.
