The only thing missing were the hoods and white robes at the ceremony where GA Governor Brian Kemp codified Jim Crow voter suppression tactics into law.
In these days of anxiety, I wanted to find a way to continue to share some of the music that gives me comfort. The first of my #SongsOfComfort: Dvořák – "Going Home”
Stay safe.
@debaajimod @MarcSallinger Please tell your son thank you from one listener. He was playing there again this morning when I took some flowers to the memorial wall. Bach cello suite no. 1. Absolutely beautiful, brought me to tears. You must be very proud of him for sharing his gift this way. ❤️
@hempsteadintl @MarcSallinger Please tell Louis thank you from one listener. He (I assume it was him) was playing there again this morning when I took some flowers to the memorial wall. Bach cello suite no. 1. Absolutely beautiful, brought me to tears. ❤️ (p.s... hugs to you from east boulder)
Louis Saxton was inside the King Soopers seconds before the shooting happened.
As he was walking out, someone told him to run.
Today he returned to the store with his cello.
“Music puts me in my happy place,” he told me. “I just want to share that with people.” #9News
In the last week, a 21-year-old killed eight people in Atlanta and another 21-year-old killed 10 people in Boulder. These are the weapons a 22-year-old brought into an Atlanta Publix today while wearing body armor. He was charged with “reckless conduct.”

There are two comfort dogs at the site of the Boulder shooting. Cubby and Devorah. Their presence is so appreciated by the mourners. Four more golden retrievers are on the way from Nebraska.
The death toll from Monday's King Soopers mass shooting is astounding for the city of Boulder.
It exceeds the total number of murders in the city for the previous nine years combined.
The city has averaged just more than one murder per year for the last decade.
@NRA Blocking your piece of shit organization. Thanks for terrorizing my town today. Truly patriotic to stand up to those terrorist grocery shoppers. Bravo. #boulder
