Jillian Segal says SBS’s code of conduct — which tells staff to separate criticism of Israel from criticism of Jewish ppl — shows that SBS ‘don’t understand’. 🤔
Says she’d “rewrite” it as per the “IHRA definition” which conflates the two issues
This is the quiet part out loud
@PatriotCaps Ok, great I’m in !
Do you have any caps that show war criminal Ben Roberts Smith kicking an innocent father of 7 off a cliff, before sending a younger soldier down to finish him off?
I’m looking for a size 7.5.
@colonelhogans I get all the rich property investors having a whinge, even if they are talking through their wallets.
What I don't get is all the broke, dumb fuck arse lickers in this thread defending the Hughsies of the world, waiting for the "trickle down" to reach them. Nuffies.
Just so we're all aware, old mate Karl and his hidden financial backer's plan is exactly this
This 👇🏽
Karl is deliberately pushing the envelope to get himself taken off air with Nine
It's boringly predictable
And he'll keep doing it until Nine have no choice, and he wins
.
Did you guys know that the judges that issued international arrest warrants for Netanyahu were sanctioned by the United States and as a result are completely unable to access their bank accounts or do any banking?
But don’t you dare bring it up you raging antisemite.
An Australian cricket journalist who lost his job has been told he was 'insensitive' in privately tweeting against Israel's genocide, and that his opposition to the slaughter of children in Gaza would make 'Jewish people in Melbourne feel unsafe'.
His radio station said it had to 'acknowledge the fear that many families in our community feel right now' and terminating his job was the way they could 'respect that'.
No concern, of course, expressed for Palestinians in Australia watching their relatives being butchered, or any acknowledgment of their fears, or how safe they feel living in a society where no respect is shown for their people's suffering.
No concern either for the message being sent to journalists – once again – that opposing a genocide will be very bad for their career.
