Love this! Also bump the season up a week, or get rid of Conference championship games and you can run the rounds of 16, 8, and 4 before Christmas, one week off for the two championship teams and play the championship on New Year’s. No more full month off before playing again.
Here’s a new CFP format:
- 16 teams
- 3 auto bids for each P4
- 2 G5 bids
- 2 at-large
ACC: Miami, Virginia, Duke
Big 12: Texas Tech, BYU, Utah
Big 10: Indiana, Ohio State, Oregon
SEC: Georgia, Ole Miss, Oklahoma
G5: JMU and Tulane
At-Large: Notre Dame, Texas
The 3rd place ACC will be playing in the CFP Semifinal.
DON’T EVER TELL ME 3 LOSS BIG 10 or SEC TEAM IS BETTER THAN A 2 LOSS ACC OR BIG 12 TEAM EVER AGAIN.
@Re2pectsport Oh you missed a word there buddy they are “hypothetically” the premier brand. They win “hypothetical” games. They be too scared to actually play the games. 🤣 🤡
@JohnnyBCCB@4thQuarterCFB00 So..... There is a Strength of Schedule metric in the above graphic, you may have missed it... you see it's easier to have great looking control, o and d efficiency when you didn't play as good a schedule....
BYU played in the first live college football game on ESPN in 1984, and ESPN has enjoyed having BYU in its late-night windows for decades, and ESPN gave BYU a TV deal during independence…but this graphic from ESPN is indefensible at best and antagonistic at worst.
Having BYU behind ND makes college football figure skating or gymnastics. You don’t even need to play the games. It’s so dumb. BYU plays in a power conference. Tougher schedule. They have less losses and better wins. Ruins the whole sport. #provodave#byuscrewed
ESPN is on a smear campaign of BYU football, using misleading statistics, hiding their resume, and actively supporting the idea that the 11-1 Cougars don't belong.
The CFP is not a tool for equality. It's a smoke screen for SEC and B1G propaganda.
