@Latina_Schatje I'm fluent in English, German and Korean. I studied French and Spanish for 4 and 3 years respectively, and still understand a bit of both. I'm hoping to get back to being conversational in Spanish and learning Russian.

@Diana_g_pottery I think you just have to do you. It's great if people can write for that long (but also, do they actually WRITE for that long?) but not everyone can. Try to think in terms of "working" on your book, which isn't limited to just writing and can totally include podcasts 🤷🏻‍♀️

Pro of not having a set daily word count or deadline: you can write 488 words on Saturday morning and spend the rest of the weekend doing nothing without feeling stressed about not meeting your goals 😌
Con: you might end up with a new story idea 🤦🏻‍♀️

It was a struggle, but I added 616 words to "Backstage Confessions" today. I might have to do another no-writing day to give my brain some rest from this work week, but that's exactly why I have these loose writing goals.

6 projects/100 pages to finish by the end of this year and everything "urgent" because why stick to a schedule when you can just have 1000% stress?

Recurring work annoyance: being sent projects where the format is completely out of whack and I have to waste several minutes fixing it. I just got a 26-page project, except with proper formatting (and none of those double/triple gaps between paragraphs) it's only 16 pages 🤦🏻‍♀️

I hate maths, but I apparently enjoy calculating random things like how many words a day I've been writing on average (723) and how many more days it'd take to finish "Backstage Confessions" (60 if BC is a 50K story) 🤷🏻‍♀️

Another 1K day, bringing "Backstage Confessions" to 6,515 words total! Sly Chase is up to no good, snarky Dante sees right through him and poor Kate is embarrassed. Could be worse, right? (Not according to Kate 🤷🏻‍♀️)

@AncientMonroe You mean when my story is set? I honestly never write with a specific year in mind, just that it's sometime in the present 😬 Then again, it's a fictional town, so even if it were 2021 there, I could just pretend the pandemic doesn't exist, I guess? 🤷🏻‍♀️
