@alixstein You should check out Walmart - They just announced that they'll be banning single-use plastic bags!! The introduction of reusable bags only, will help save many marine creatures from entanglement and possibly strangulation!
Plastic Pollution is a global crisis affecting everyone, and we all need to do our part to help save our oceans! Here are some ways YOU can start tackling single-use plastic!! #EM203Problem#SaveOurOceans#StopSingleUsePlastic
@alixstein Thank you for your support and for doing your part to reduce your plastic consumption! Repurposing products to give them a second life is a great way to keep plastic out of our oceans! I do the same with my pasta jars, and even empty candle containers!
@Seanconnolly999 Very good option! It's not always talked about, but part of the plastic pollution that ends up in our oceans comes from the microfibers from our clothes that get released into the water while washing! So it's important to make sure we are washign responsbily!
@lilynagle12 Financial incentives are a great and proven way to encourage people to recycle! By responsibly disposing of your bottles, you are helping keep them out of our waterways and oceans! Great work Lily!
@robynhudecki That's great to hear Robyn! It's such a fun way to get involved while also helping to take care of our coastlines! So much plastic debris gets washed up and risks endangering turtles and birds among other animals, so it's important that we remove any potential plastic threats!
Show your support by signing the petition to demand the government ban single-use plastics!! We need immediate and powerful action to save our oceans!

Hey @OceanaCAN! I'm a university student trying to spread awareness about single-use plastics and the threat they pose to ocean wildlife, food and safety, and climate change. I'd love to hear your thoughts on how students can take action today to help end throw-away culture!
We don't have to sacrifice sustainability to have a happy holiday! We should all make a conscious effort to opt for recyclable and compostable alternatives for wrapping gifts!
During the holiday season, humans around the world use 25% MORE single-use plastic packaging. ๐โ ๐๏ธ
We're encouraging the clean ocean movement to think of more sustainable alternatives, and that's why we're offering Reusable Gift Bags.

Canada needs a strong ban if we want to reduce plastic in the environment. With a garbage truckload of plastic entering our oceans every minute, there is no more time to waste, and yet, the government continues to postpone it's plastic regulations. https://t.co/KwlSz2gkdw
