@ChuteKutPrint@EthansDad3D@ChrisPirillo Sorry, didn’t see this sooner. Objects need to at least 6” diameter, and feature rich for tracking. Be sure to keep enough of the object in frame to track. Also, try cleaning the sensor/front facing camera. If you indicate what you’re trying to scan, I can give more tips.
@3DplusULTRA Sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately, there’s only one TrueDepth sensor on the device, and it’s on the front because it’s normally used for FaceID. The LIDAR sensor on the rear is very sparse and can’t be used to capture anything accurately.
Thanks for trying out @EM3DApp on the new iPhone 14 Pro max, @ChrisPirillo. Chris is live right now, reviewing the iPhone 14 and comparing it against the Samsung. https://t.co/e5Febp8Tv4 https://t.co/zUOzW0ZhW5
Devising a new experimental setup with @slimanjbensmaia, and stumbled on the @EM3DApp. If you'd like to venture down a fun rabbit hole, check it out: free 3D scans using just the front-facing IR camera on your phone! (This model of my hand took <60 seconds to scan and render.)
EM3D v1.4.1 is now available in the App Store. The update fixes issues with the Feature Bundle unintentionally expiring. There are no other changes. If v1.4.1 isn’t appearing for you in the App Store yet, please continue checking periodically. Thank you for your patience!
Attention EM3D users, some users who purchased the feature bundle more than a year ago are reporting that they can no longer export STLs. If you are affected, this is a bug, and is not intended. I will begin working on the fix when I get home on Sunday. I’m sorry!
