I passed my driving test in January 2019. I had failed twice late 2018 and that meant I had very good relationship with my Pakistani UK born driving instructor.
I bought the white Audi cabriolet cash and was living in a house share and paid only £460 per month as rent.
I was saving a lot of money and felt I was very smart.
One day, a psychopath packed into our house and started giving everyone grief. I even was worried about my food in the communal fridge that I bought a small fridge and put in my own room but that wouldn’t accommodate all my food as I cooked en bulk and used all through the week.
Also, my car dazzled me so bad in winter that I ended up on the walkway one night after a long shift just leaving the hospital as the wintry ice and the street lights combined to whine me. Thank God no one was walking then n no one hurt.
I got home that night and had a very long thought about my life.
The psychopath at home could kpai me or my car could, but I had very decent amount in savings, if I died, would I have lived a smart life? My answer was no.

Next day (this was in 2020) I went house hunting and bought a house immediately. I also bought the Benz in the 2nd and 3rd frames. My driving instructor friend saw me driving a Benz and was very upset with him.
He said it was a waste of money and that I would regret that decision. This caused friction in our relationship and we became more distant. 6 years down the line, I’ve not regretted that decision, infact, I’ve had two more expensive cars since then and very happy.
If I had died managing the Audi or if the psychopath poisoned my food, I would have died with over £100k sitting in my account while I was trying to save more money. Nah, I won’t be a slave to money ever again!!
