“Is this working?”
All creatives battle with this question at 2 a.m. on a Tuesday. You finally started the business idea that’s been clanking around in your head for months (in some cases, years). You bought a domain, researched the best software stack, sketched a landing page, and found some keywords to target.
All to get to this point. It’s go time.
“Will this be another flop?”
“What if I fail in front of everyone?”
The late-night whirl. And, if I’m going to be honest, as someone who has tried and failed to get businesses up and running (anyone who has been in this game long enough has a few f*ck-ups under their belt), the one thing I really could have used was a playbook to help me get the most basic thing you need for your business.
Eyeballs. Traffic. People.
Inbox Momentum is the playbook I built for myself while growing my email list. And I want to share it with you for free.

I’ve been using the internet to make money for over 5 years now. Maybe 10 years if you really want to stretch it.
I’ve tried most things:
Dropshipping
Print on demand
Starting a lead gen agency
I’ve made money, lost money, and broken even on all of them. But when you’ve been in the online business game long enough, you start to spot patterns — things that keep showing up again and again.
I was browsing Reddit the other day and came across one of these patterns. The post was titled:
“I scraped 54k+ comments to find the best side hustles and business ideas that actually work in 2025.”
Now, Reddit is a great place to find ideas for your side hustles. But I want you to focus on something else here.
The post was basically a giant Google Sheet full of ideas. But if you wanted access, you had to comment on the post.
When you commented, the OP would send you the database…
In exchange for your email address.
The OP was growing his list. And I’m no psychic, but I’d bet you two dollars out of ten he was planning to send that list higher-ticket offers for real money later down the line.
That’s the lesson I’ll leave you with here:
When in doubt, grow your list, and send that list offers. Every day if you can.
The email hit my inbox like a gut punch.
From the owner. The man behind the curtain. He’d sold the company. It was packed with corporate fluff—“synergy,” “exciting new chapter,” “grateful for your contributions.”
What it didn’t say?
He’d just cashed out for a lifetime of freedom.
His “transition” was his exit, not ours. I stared at the screen, anger and envy mixing in my gut.
Not because I hated him, but because he’d been playing a different game.
He wasn’t clocking in for a paycheck.
He’d built something he could sell. Meanwhile, I was making his dream valuable.
That day, it clicked:
The system isn’t broken. It’s working perfectly—just not for me. I was done being a pawn.
That gnaw in my stomach? It screamed I’d been a sucker, too tired from his game to build my own. I didn’t quit. Didn’t burn it down.
But I promised myself: no more days without building my asset.
Now, I write 30 minutes a night. An email. A thought. Something I own.
Because if you’re not building your own dream, you’re building someone else’s.
Join my newsletter and get a free 5-day email course that shows you how to build your own income-generating system, even if you only have 30 minutes a night.
Failure is a cruel mistress.
She usually shows up when you least expect her, barging in when things seem to be going really well.
Ready to take it all with a smug, self-satisfied smile.
The one thing that binds us, as humans,
is that we love to watch someone f*ck it all up.
Lose the marriage to drugs, gambling, infidelity.
Have it all, then drop it the more spectacular, the better.
It’s why glossy magazines disappeared,
but scandal rags kept selling long after print was supposed to be dead.
But here’s the thing: failure is a teacher.
And most of its lessons show up quietly.
And with your business, you have to deal with daily, mini failures. They might not be as dramatic as losing a marriage, but to your nervous system they feel about the same
You open your analytics dashboard and it’s just… flat.
No spike. No new subs.
That small, pixel-thin line feels like judgment.
It whispers, “See? You’re wasting your time.”
But that graph doesn’t tell the truth.
It only shows what’s visible, not what’s growing underneath.
It doesn’t show the person who read your email three times before replying.
It doesn’t show the new habit forming each time you hit publish.
It doesn’t show the silent proof
that you’re becoming someone who finishes things.
The work always pays off just not on the schedule you’d like.
Keep writing.
Keep sending.
Keep showing up.
Because when that line finally moves,
it’ll move because of all the days it didn’t
