Quick question for my fellow email marketers.
How did you learn the skill?
What courses, YouTube channels, books, or resources helped you most?
And if you could start again, what would you do differently?
Drop your answers below if you come across this.
Thanks

Most ecommerce brands don't need more emails.
They need better emails.
Better segmentation.
Better offers.
Better copy.
Better timing.
Better customer journeys.
Sending 10 more emails won't fix a bad strategy.
Relevance beats volume.
Your customer doesn't care about your product.
They care about what it does for them.
Features explain.
Benefits persuade.
Always sell the transformation, not the specification.

5 segments I'd pay attention to in an ecommerce brand:
1. New subscribers
2. First-time buyers
3. Repeat customers
4. Highly engaged customers
5. Inactive customers
Each group has a different relationship with the brand.
So they shouldn't all get the same message.
I love marketing mehn 😂😂
They never wanted you to buy the 3 pieces for €9, it was there as a decoy so you can buy two of the €5 singlets.
It was all a pricing strategy.
@Max_Alexxander Wow, really love the 5 orders away from freebie angle.
It's a subtle way of keeping customers coming back without bombarding them with discounts. I think it also makes them curious on what the free item would be.
Really love the strategy.
3 things I'd focus on when writing an abandoned cart email:
1. Remind them what they wanted.
2. Reinforce why they wanted it.
3. Remove the friction stopping them from buying.
Don't say: "Complete your purchase."
Instead answer the question on:
"Why I should buy NOW"
