I am obsessed with this place! Huge flocks of gull-billed terns, mediterranean gulls, black terns, flamingos and so on! We also counted many open-habitat species as the calandra lark, short-toed lark, tawny pipit and the check-list goes on and on! Please leave me here in Valona😂

Today, the @EUCouncil was supposed to give the final approval on the Nature Restoration Law: it was going to be a celebratory day for Europe's nature.

Instead, the NRL was written off today's agenda, leaving us empty-handed about the climate and biodiversity action we need the most.

Because of non-supportive Member States (HU, NL, SE, PL, IT, BE, FI, AU), the law to #RestoreNature is currently being held hostage by political games. But this should not be about political power plays: this is about our future.

We are now calling on @EU2024BE and @vonderleyen to break this deadlock & save this key pillar of the Green Deal.

We need the Nature Restoration law NOW!
