Said this before and I’ll say it again. If pensioners above a certain income are no longer entitled to winter fuel allowance, then MPs earning over £90k should no longer get energy expenses. Also MPs should no longer get food allowance when they’re unwilling to give free school meals to kids from lowest income households. Why are you entitled to expenses but the people who NEED it most are not?
I genuinely can’t hear anyone mention a total eclipse without quoting this entire Jaffa Cakes advert from 1999. Please someone tell me they also remember this…
Suella Braverman’s comments about homelessness are dangerous and inaccurate. Nobody chooses to sleep on the street. Evidence tells us how they end up there: unaffordable rent, a lack of social housing and support services that have been cut and cut and cut https://t.co/aNbaoqWgIr
We could get angry at Suella’s latest piece of performative, pandering cruelty or… instead:
let’s promote the excellent work done by @Shelter, @centrepointuk, @PassageCharity and other fine charities actually trying to help homeless people, especially now, as winter approaches.
@saffachick@DanielHewittITV@EnfieldCouncil Unlikely that a front line worker will be monitoring the Twitter account. They will have alerted a senior manager to address. Staff can have someone on the phone for a long time meaning long call waits for someone to pick up.
