Today one year ago, I took delivery of my @Tesla#Model3. Here's what I've experienced during that year and in over 23'500 km (a long thread, slightly shortened for Twitter, full post here: https://t.co/0UhAdArH7v). (1/25)
Tesla speed!
Tesla Bot Engineer Milan Kovac just revealed Tesla has already deployed a couple bots at one of the factories.
The bots are being tested daily at the real workstations and continuously improving!
This is much faster than Elon said at the Q1 Earnings Call when he thought Optimus wouldn’t be in real factory until the end of the year.
Now it’s much clearer based on what Milan said the by end of year the bots will not only be in the factory but doing useful work and contributing to the bottom line.
Next year sold to customers if all works out.
This is Tesla Speed!

New Model 3 Performance launching today 🏎️
→ https://t.co/MylTZE6g29
0-60 mph in 2.9
510 hp / 741 Nm
163 mph top speed

Performance-tuned chassis
Same quiet & comfortable cabin plus bespoke chassis hardware for improved stiffness and higher performance baseline.
More power, lower energy consumption
New Performance 4th gen drive unit can deliver:
+22% continuous power
+32% peak power
+16% peak torque
compared to previous Model 3 Performance. All with lower total energy consumption!
Forged & staggered 20" wheels + Pirelli P Zero 4 tires
Better traction out of corners while limiting traction control interventions.
Also, better comfort, lower rolling resistance & increased range.
Better Track Mode
Track Mode V3 now integrates motor controls, suspension controls, powertrain cooling, & our Vehicle Dynamics Controller (VDC) under a single, unified system.
This gives you a more predictable, stable & consistent experience in various track environments.
New Adaptive Damping system
Adjusts to driver & road inputs in real time to optimize ride & handling, while also improving ride comfort.
Controlled via in-house software, which means it keeps improving via future over-the-air software updates.
More aerodynamic exterior design
5% reduced drag, 36% lift reduction & 55% improvement in front-to-rear lift balance compared to previous Model 3 Performance.
New Sports Seats
Same functionality & comfort as before, but with much better lateral support for cornering & dynamic driving
History was made 1st electric car to reach 2 millions km!!! I am very proud and happy to be part of it, congratulation @gem8mingen for reaching such a milestone. Many were saying it’s impossible to travel with an electric to the next city, your reply is to reach 2 millions km in Morocco Africa! Go! Go! Go!
After 3 years @tesla and Optimus, I am thrilled to announce that I joined Hugging Face to start an ambitious open robotics project! (open as in open-source, not as in Open AI) Looking for engineers to build real robots in Paris 🇫🇷 https://t.co/cFuNL4PVI4 🤖🤗
@lancemace@NotATeslaApp@Tesla Chargers like @JuiceTechnology's Juice Booster 2 have the option to ignore earth (on your own peril obviously).
And alternatively, it could be solved with a "neutral-ground bonding plug".
Does Mercedes have L3 driving?
Yes, but:
- only on some highways
- only up to 60 km/h
- not in rain
- not at night
- not in tunnels
- only with a preceding car
- only at temperatures of >4.5 °C
Does that mean they are ahead of Tesla?
No:
@remouherek@andreattafab Pity, the comparison to traditional ayahuasca would've been my first question. Super curious about your experience, regardless though. Also, how did you qualify for the study, what were the prerequisites?
@heydave7 Coincidence would have it that I was watching this video when I saw your tweet, I think it raises a couple of good points.

Got a crack in my Tesla’s windshield during a recent road trip (see pic). A rock chip from a dump truck hit my car in just the right place.
The next day I took it in to a service center; was told it would take 2 days to fix & replace (due to camera recalibration). They gave me a Model 3 loaner, and to my surprise, my personal driver profile was ready to go when I got in the car.
That means all my settings, from seat & mirror position, to Autopilot preferences, to temperature & vent positions, were all ready to go simply by selecting my profile on the screen.
It’s never fun taking a car in for service, but @Tesla really makes it painless. 👏
Increasing lithium refining capacity is critical to a sustainable energy economy—today, we're breaking ground on our in-house lithium refinery outside of Corpus Christi, TX.
This facility will also prioritize the elimination of a challenging refinery byproduct (sodium sulfate).
Instead, the byproduct is a mixture of sand & calcium carbonate—a viable additive in the production of construction materials, allowing us to make use of this waste stream.
In the future, we will also process other intermediate lithium feedstocks, including those from recycled batteries & manufacturing scrap.
@fdp Schwachsinn hoch 3!
Kraftstoffverbrauch DE 2022: 52,2 Mio. Tonnen also grob 500 TWh. Macht mind. 1000 TWh EE-Strom aus neuen (!!) Anlagen, dazu Elektrolyseure, Syntheseanlagen und Direct-Air-Capture-Anlagen...
