@maxkatz515 10/7 and the behavior of so many dissuaded me. I was never wholly sympathetic to Palestine but always advocated for a 2SS. But that Palestine kept saying no says it all. Not to mention it always came across as antisemitic.

Almost exactly a year ago to the day, I uncovered that a dozen of the most viral images presented as evidence of famine in Gaza in fact showed children with unrelated medical issues, including cystic fibrosis and autoimmune conditions.

The investigation earned me death threats, calls for me to be tried at The Hague, and jabs by a high-profile comedian on national TV—despite the fact that we’ve had to issue exactly zero corrections on our story.

Our point was simply to tell readers that if there was a famine in Gaza, photographs of these children were not evidence of it.

What is indisputable today is that there is currently no famine in Gaza.

That is the major finding from a UNICEF-led team that recently produced the most comprehensive and robust nutrition survey of Gaza since the war began.

The survey found that less than a year after a famine was declared in Gaza, the territory has one of the lowest malnutrition rates in the region. A recovery that swift is not just “miraculous,” in the words of a malnutrition researcher I spoke with—it raises questions in and of itself. Questions like: How can a war-torn territory go from famine to showing some of the lowest rates of child malnutrition in the region in less than a year? 

In my report today for @TheFP, I investigate that question, its implications, and what it means for the debate over the official decision to classify a famine in Gaza still raging 12 months on.

•Yosef Havi: Killed in the March 2002 shooting attack at the Seafood Market restaurant in Tel Aviv.
•Elyahu Dahan: Killed in the March 2002 Seafood Market restaurant shooting attack in Tel Aviv.
•Selim Barichat: An Israeli Druze police officer killed in the March 2002 Seafood Market restaurant shooting attack in Tel Aviv.
•Yoela Chen. She was an Israeli civilian shot and killed on January 15, 2002, during a shooting attack at a gas station near Givat Ze'ev.
This is along with close to 1,000 other Israelis who were killed by terrorists in the Second Intifada (you can see why Jews condemn the usage of Globalize the Intifada!!!!).

55 organizations around the world have launched an initiative called “Gaza GenoLIE” to counter what they describe as the “Gaza genocide lie,” claiming that the characterization has been systematically promoted by anti Zionist and antisemitic networks in the United States, Europe and other parts of the world.
The initiative includes organizations such as the Ireland Israel Alliance, Italy’s Solomon Observatory on Discrimination and the Sweden Israel Alliance, along with Stand With Us, the World Jewish Congress, CAMERA and the National Jewish Advocacy Center.
The initiative describes the “Gaza genocide” as one of the biggest lies of the 21st century and says its website aims to provide material explaining and refuting the narrative that Israel is committing genocide in the Gaza Strip. The website divides its arguments into eight sections that make up what it calls the “Gaza GenoLIE Puzzle.”
