in the midst of a global pandemic, clinic 554, an establishment that provides family health care, reproductive health care and specialized health care for LGBTQAI+ folk is closing because of the inaction of our premier, @premierbhiggs.
Imagine: You’re in your mid-30s, doing mid-30s things. One day, you get sick. You almost die, & it doesn’t go away. You’re now disabled. Other people report dying & becoming disabled by the same illness, while still others accuse the sick of lying. It’s chaos for a time.
Situational awareness: Children between 2-4 years and 5-9 years account for more than 50% of reported hospitalizations in Canada as of November 19, 2022.
I’m seeing a lot of “ppl are being misled abt COVID” sympathy & while I don’t disagree w that, it doesn’t apply to everyone. So many ppl I personally know who have long critiqued govt/health sys for oppressive practices are accepting CDC & co’s words at face value for convenience
Masks and ventilation are key tools to curb the spread of SARS-CoV-2. They should be routinely used. It's not about an "evaluation of personal risk". It doesn't work this way. Many people can't choose and are forcibly exposed (e.g. in hospital, children, etc.).
despite my best efforts and wearing a kn95/n95 everywhere i tested positive for covid again 🙃 heartbroken to say the least & super anxious. anyone have any advice about what to take for preventative measures against LC? i heard to take low dose aspirin daily, anything else?
SARS1 -> 10 years later (2013 story)
Compromised immune systems
Chronic fatigue
That was for people who had it once.
Now we are facing many infections.
We need to realise we can never go back to 2019 now.
We missed that chance several times

(5) and don’t even try to call yourself a leftist if you’re actively contributing to a pandemic that is killing and disabling millions of people, especially those most vulnerable in our society. and if this offends you i don’t care and it’s probably for a reason. end tweet
my grandfather who is in palliative care (and has incurable cancer) has contracted covid due to an outbreak at the hospital. if you don’t wear a mask in public places you easily could it is a slap in the face and shows you don’t care about preventing healthcare collapse (1)
(4) i’m tired of biting my tongue and trying to appease people that don’t care about protecting the most vulnerable in our society because their inconvenience is more important to them than preventing health care collapse and preventing long term disability and death
