As there was quite a bit of interest in an online Reading for Pleasure session, I'm going to run one on Monday 15th July (but will also be delivering some more after the summer break). It's only £7, which I hope is really good value.

What a load of tosh! Anyone who thinks school are improving has lost the post. Schools, teachers, staff and students are crumbling and failing - through no fault of their own. Ridiculous pressure and expectation is leading to a broken generation.
In 2010, after 13 years of Labour, only 67% of schools in Tony Blair’s old seat of Sedgefield were rated good or outstanding.
Now, under the @Conservatives with a fantastic MP in @PaulHowellMP, that number is 93%.
Our plan is working.
@jonnybid I regularly run out of the capacity to be “nice” anymore. Especially currently. School nursings a bit like walking through treacle at the moment
@GillianKeegan@RishiSunak@DailyMailUK I’m pretty sure you must have some sort of issue reading the room. These tweets are so far off what people want and need in terms of leading education. Dangerously out of touch and ignorant to the state of society - scary times
@GillianKeegan I’m not even a teacher and I find your lack of empathy, understanding and atrocious communication extremely insulting. Speak to teachers and heads and find out what the problems before you keep preaching. You barely have an education system so start prioritising
