From the updated edition of 80,000 Hours, which I completed a couple of weeks ago. Main message is “to have a good career, do what matters. Get good at something and use it to help other people.”

It also mentions examples of the world’s most pressing problems, including the loss of control of AI in the forms of instrumental convergence, reward hacking, and deceptive alignment. Quite relevant to recent events!
