@fluxtheorist 3) the reality is your life expectancy is absurdly high if you do the bare minimum medical screening (colonoscopy/lipids) and don't destroy yourself but these people are begging for more useless tests.
@fluxtheorist 2) medicine in its current form basically exists to counter act harm done by people who don't have the resources/time/whatever to exercise regularly, eat healthy diets, get a full night's sleep etc.
@GRoditiD Alzheimer's is probably just microvascular disease. Hypertension / Hyperlipidemia / Diabetes all big contributors. Rates of Alzheimer's have fallen as we've gotten better at treating the above.

@Bonecondor I'd argue that most people know what good nutrition is already. I don't think there's much of a role for me telling people to eat vegetables. It's a cost/time/access issue more than anything. The MAHA shit is not some revelation, we eat crap because it's easy and tastes good.
