Open Letter to his Excellency.
Dear Farmer Governor @HonBago,
I greet you with the highest form of salutation Assalamu alaikum Waramatullah Wabarakatuhu
Trusting you are well and hale to see this letter.
I have been cheated by the system you designed to help give poor masses the hope to feel the impact of your government.
My name is Farouk Jiya Muhammad a first class graduate with a masters in Biochemistry, I hail from Mokwa LG and I am writing to seek for justice in the recently concluded CSC recruitment process.
I was at the podium when you visited Mokwa LG during your campaign and promised that your government, if elected will put smile on the face of common man, I saw hope at the end of the tunnel and believed in you despite rogue statements, I have never participated in any gubernatorial election except for your sake, I was amazed by your manifesto and rally round convincing people to vote for you, I knew what I spent in that course for your sake with the hope that the common man will benefit from your administration.
When you announced the recruitment of people into the Niger State Civil Service, I was jubilating knowing that it would be for everyone, the process was going smoothly and seamlessly, I recalled the portal was opened around January 2024 and by February 24, 2024, I had already written my CBT exams and scored 62%, within the shortest period of time we were shortlisted for interview which we participated, by July successful candidate lists for different Cadres was released and everyone was more than happy that each Zone, LG and Wards were heavily represented making it one of the best recruitment process ever, I was also shortlisted in the Education Officer Cadre, the list is still on their site, it was stated that we will be called for documentation and collection of appointments letter soon, that was the beginning of our nightmare.
Everyone that saw the list had someone to congratulate, because it touches everywhere, I was even congratulated here on X by well wishers that knows my struggling story to secure a job after so many disappointment including from my Alma Mata that denied me a job offer coz I wasn't an indigene of their state.
Mr. Gov. sir, when I heard the news for documentation I had to borrow money to travel down to Minna with the hope of going back home with my appointment letter, it dawned on me that the original list on CSC site was scrapped completely and a fresh list was generated by a committee, I went to the CSC commission and was told my name isn't on the list, that only those that received a message will be allowed to do documentation 😭 I immediately lost my grip and almost fainted, I couldn't sleep throughout the night, I almost had heart attack after several tachycardia 😭😭
Mr. Gov. sir, you should know that tomorrow is farther than today, today is pregnant and nobody knows what it will birth, a cat that cares about tomorrow should not eat a pregnant rat, we all believe in your dream for Niger State and will always support you, but the injustice of the recruitment has affected most people that some are considering suicide.
It's on this note I write to voice out on behalf of the thousands successful applicants that were denied documentation on the original list be considered and reinstated for normalcy and calmness of the heated and angry youth you promised to represent fairly and through equity.
I hope you'd look into the matter and give us back our lost hope by calling us for the collection of our appointment.
