#CLN9Fall21#TheEnd Learning Patel and Moore’s arguments behind the motives and existence of capitalism were eye-opening and insightful. I’ve come to the conclusion that each cheap thing feeds off each other to maintain it’s longevity.
Especially with increasing mental health problems, I believe it is important to provide a safe space for students where they are comfortable with who they are, and lead to self-growth.
#CLN9Fall21#BuiltToLast Our sense of self-identity is influenced by many factors in our lives. One key factor that influences our interpretation of our self-identity is what we think others think of us.
Answering Lakoff's question, the popular will is trustworthy only if voters vote for their interests instead of who they identify with. Furthermore, if their delegates in the gov't represent their voters instead of their sponsers.
#CLN9Fall21#GhostOfTomJoad Because of the way the American gov't is structured, the public can only trust in those they delegate. However, new legislation that punishes overreaches in a representative's power may be a solution that keeps politicians in check.

ex. This mess needs to be cleaned because it needs to be cleaned.
#CLN9Fall21#MoneyGetAway Behind closed doors, it’s hard to trace how the government distributes funds. I believe there should be more information like the pandora papers to provide transparency on today’s economy. Transparent politicians are also needed to inform the public.
#CLN9Fall21#IdLove2ChangeDWorld All the readings emphasized the need for radical systemic change to address environmental issues. Will we keep procrastinating/be in denial or finally comply to the laws of nature? Time is ticking.
#CLN9Fall21#Reading4College Whether it’s for a school grade or to entertain/nourish ourselves, we read to get a specific output. The challenge in college is trying to achieve both...
