@JaymetheRN discriminatory or gender based. I know my female coworkers complained about male patients trying to grope them or try to get their numbers. I felt for them and became protective around them.

@JaymetheRN I’m a male. The worst experience as a “murse” was in my OB rotation. Initially the nursing staff would not let me in the rooms. My instructor had to get the charge nurses involved. Otherwise I don’t remember any experiences that were 1/

@JaymetheRN @ElizabethCahn There were many days we could have used these. Shifts with multiple deaths. Shifts with multiple pediatric deaths. Shifts with horrific trauma to innocents.

@JaymetheRN PTSD among healthcare workers is very common. I worked Level I trauma and I can’t count all the effed up stuff I witnessed. It’s hard to compartmentalize it.

@deaflibertarian There is no correlation between hospital charges and what is paid by insurance companies. There is a negotiated fee already set and that is what they pay for a particular service.
