A brief history of the relationship between the Khongrei king, Hungpung king and Meitei king and the Mangang -Hungshi bloodline, as tabled by the committee stated that “after generations of migration from Central Asia, the ancestors of these three (Khongrei, Hungpung and Meitei) kings came to Makhel from Thibungmei (Kohima).
