🇬🇧 THEY TOLD YOU A STORY. 🇬🇧
Colonisers. Slavers. Oppressors. And you were supposed to feel ashamed.
Not for what you done... But for WHO YOU ARE. 🇬🇧
So we tested it. Britain wrote everything down, so we opened the books. 📖
Turns out fewer than 1 man in 10 could vote in the year Britain banned the slave trade. No woman could. Your ancestors could hang for stealing a sheep, get shipped across the world for petty theft, or go down a mine at 8 years old. In Manchester, the average age of death in a labouring family was 17.
They weren't running the slave trade. They were underneath it too.
Which is what makes what happened next worth knowing.
In 1772 an enslaved man named James Somerset walked free from an English court, because English law couldn't hold a slave.
In 1791, 300,000 families just stopped buying slave sugar. No march, no riot, just a decision made at 300,000 kitchen tables.
In 1792, 519 petitions carrying 390,000 names hit Parliament, most signed by people who couldn't vote themselves.
In 1807, Britain banned the trade.
Then the slave owners sent Britain a bill for the 800,000 people they still held. 💷 £20 million. About 40% of the entire government budget at the time.
The Treasury says it wasn't paid off until 2015. So if your family paid British tax before then, they helped buy 800,000 people their freedom.
From 1808 the Royal Navy spent 60 years hunting slave ships at sea: 1,600 stopped, 150,000 people freed, and 1,600 British sailors dead, mostly of disease, buried thousands of miles from home. ⚓
In 1816 they ended two centuries of Barbary corsairs enslaving Europeans.
In 1896 a war that lasted 38 minutes ended slavery in Zanzibar. 🇹🇿
Almost every country on Earth outlaws slavery today.
That fight was paid for largely at British expense, by British hands.🇬🇧
So why haven't you heard any of this?
Because within living memory, someone rewrote the story. You got taught the crime. Not the cure.
The powerful exploited the world. They exploited their own people first. It was those people who ended slavery. 🇬🇧
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
History got rewritten once, in living memory, by no one who was ever named or held to account.
We are ordinary people doing what ordinary people have always done. Opening the books. Refusing to look away.
This is how we fight back. Fact by fact. Story by story. Name by name.
We are the home of British heroes. There is a place for you in it.

If you are pregnant, some heartfelt advice.
* Avoid a midwife-led unit. They’re not safe. You need to be near an operating theatre and intensive care.
* Labour can go wrong in minutes. Don’t be complacent.
* if you think something feels wrong trust your maternal instinct.
* Don’t be fobbed off or sent home if you know you’re in labour. Some midwives are saints, others are bullies. Insist on your right to have care in hospital.
* if they induce you, chances are you will end up with a C-section. That’s fine. No need for disappointment. Your goal is a healthy living baby.
* If you’re in too much pain get your husband/partner to express your wishes. Be polite but firm. Your baby’s life may depend on you or its dad speaking up.
* If labour has gone on too long - my first was 24 hours - baby needs to come out. Say you want a C-section. Don’t fall for “normal birth” ideology beloved of too many midwives. Insist on a C-section.
* There is no such thing as a normal birth. Getting the baby out alive and not brain damaged is what matters.
* These are the most vital and precious hours of your life. Don’t be intimidated. You are the only voice your child has. Some midwives are out of their depth: request a doctor. You’re entitled to a doctor.
* if a midwife is rude or unpleasant say you are making a formal complaint. Request a second opinion - that is the law!
* chances are it will be fine. Just bear all of the above in mind. Enjoy your beautiful baby! ❤️

Hypothetical question: when injuries in an attack are so bad the victim has no quality of life, and objectively experiences intense suffering that may last for the duration of their life (with their life also potentially shortened), should the charge be just attempted murder?
After reading the following you will know why I am asking and you will all know why they never showed you a picture of the child. The government did this to her. They won't show you the reality. Let's be honest, this child has a fate worse than death. What has been done to her is for all intents and purposes may as well have been murder. Except she is trapped on a precipice between the world we all occupy and living hell.
"Dr Louise Baker, a neurodisability consultant who treated the girl after her admission to Temple Street hospital that afternoon, said she has a lifelong, life-limiting severe disability. Now aged seven, the girl will need a wheelchair for the rest of her life, needs to wear splints to stretch her muscles, is at risk of spinal curve and scoliosis and further episodes of gut dystonia and pain, is non-verbal and cannot communicate her wants and needs, she said.
The child is fed through a tube in her stomach, has “no safe swallow” and no selective control over her muscles. She will need 24-hour care for the rest of her life as she has no independent skills.
The girl was a previously healthy five-year-old reaching all her milestones before suffering cardiac arrest following the stabbing injury that led to a severe acquired brain injury. The child was experiencing seizures and severe and painful muscular dystonia even as medics were trying to treat her in intensive care, she said. The child also suffered gut dystonia to such an extent feeding was stopped for a time because it was so painful.
The child was in Temple Street hospital for nine months, needs 24-hour care, needs to be hoisted, needs a wheelchair and will need a “huge amount” of equipment going forward. DNA from blood-staining on the blade of the knife matched the DNA of two girls – subject of the attempted murder charges – and the DNA of Flynn, she said. DNA from cellular material on the blade matched that of the seriously injured girl.
Dr Aoife Mahony, a consultant paediatrician, told prosecuting counsel Carol Doherty she began treating the severely injured five-year-old girl in November 2025.
The child is fully dependent on her carers for daily living, cannot communicate verbally, can blink yes and no, suffers severe dystonia and is fed through the stomach.
She is on nine regular medications, attends a school for children with complex needs and will require lifelong therapies."
The knife used had a blade around 10 inches long.
They published the conversion therapy bill this morning. I’ve read all 20 pages so you don’t have to. It’s worse than the press release admits.
Doctors are protected; the bill carves them out.
Mums aren’t. There’s no equivalent line anywhere in it for a parent.
And “emotional pressure” is written in as something that can make your conduct “abusive.”
So a mum who urges her daughter to wait, to be at peace with her body, is left to a prosecutor’s view of whether that was abuse. She could get up to 5 years in prison.
It goes further. The police or your local council can ask a court to order you to stop, before any charge, before any offence, and even without you in the room to defend yourself. Breaking that order is itself a crime.
Hilary Cass was reassured doctors could keep working. Fine. Now show me the line that protects a mother.
There isn’t one.
It needs stopping.
This week the Dutch senate adopted a conversion therapy ban. That makes the 10th EU country to do so. Here’s an interview I did with a therapist who has a criminal complaint open against her for promotion of conversion therapy because she doesn’t “affirm” her patients. She helps them out of their dissociation instead.

"On June 26, 2026, a consultation few Europeans have heard of will quietly close in Brussels. The European Commission is finalising its guidelines on trusted flaggers” under Article 22 of the Digital Services Act (DSA) — privileged notifiers whose reports of allegedly illegal content platforms must handle first.
It is the last bolt in a machine assembled patiently for years. Once it is tightened, the EU will possess a complete, legally armoured system for managing what Europeans may say, read and share online. Before that happens, it is worth naming precisely what is wrong with this construction — because its defects are not accidents of drafting. They are congenital."

France is so far gone down the gender hole. In these guidelines, a government agency describes a scenario in which a man pretending to be a woman goes to the doctor pretending to have premenstrual symptoms. The doctor refuses to believe him, so the imaginary troon is advised to report the doctor and get him or her sanctioned.

@HelenDuignan2@RonanMullen Absolutely right. How will they ensure U16s don’t access without making all adults prove who they are and it gives Gov ability to control everything online. The only restriction is their ambition. They can control whatever they want online and restrict freedom of speech 4 all
