UPDATE: MONDAY SHOOTING AT D.C. CHURCH: 16-YEAR-OLD ARRESTED WITH TWO GUNS

New details from Metro Police after two men were shot inside a Northeast D.C. church Monday afternoon.

Investigators say a group was gathered in a fenced utility area behind the church when at least one person opened fire, striking two adult men.

Both victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

While detectives interviewed witnesses inside the church, officers say a 16-year-old was found carrying two backpacks containing two firearms. The teen has been charged with:

🔹 2 counts of Carrying a Pistol Without a License
🔹 Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition
🔹 Possession of a Large Capacity Ammunition Feeding Device

Police say it is still under investigation whether the juvenile was involved in the shooting.

A reward of up to $10,000 is available for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
