@CineplexMovies @IMAX Are you planning on showing it in other theatres than the few IMAX in Ontario? The poster is on at the Galeries de la Capitale, but no showtimes yet...

[Émile Grégoire @emgre21]

@JikissGamer @NiGHTS108 Same here, haven't finished BCS yet, but so far I love it. Similar plot construction and screenplay that made Breaking Bad so good, with great new characters such as Kim, Chuck and Howard.

@theprincessxena I did a 84GB gc this week. That's like a month of trial-and-error at cross-building stuff. Now I've got a huge WSL virtual drive to shrink...

[Émile Grégoire @emgre21]

@HillhouseGrady @chrissistrunk @nostarch @billpollock @studioMUTI Got mine two weeks ago, really enjoyed reading it. It's now sitting in my partner's classroom (she teaches high school math) and her students are enjoying it too.

[Émile Grégoire @emgre21]

@KerryTNews Bienvenue Kerry!

[Émile Grégoire @emgre21]

@theprincessxena @RetweetableN14 What's the software you use for the screenplay?

[Émile Grégoire @emgre21]

@TheOnlyMike_E If It Be Your Will - Leonard Cohen
Ma mère chantait toujours - Fabienne Thibeault
Poussière d'ange - Ariane Moffatt

@depthsofwiki The National Assembly of Québec has a 15 pages two-columns document of them. My personal favourite is "CAQ's cuck" ("cocu des caquistes").

[Émile Grégoire @emgre21]

@FFmpeg When he says "proprietary codecs" while datamoshing is exactly my type of humour.

[Émile Grégoire @emgre21]

@JikissGamer He has beautiful feathers now! Love his chunky chicken legs 😅

[Émile Grégoire @emgre21]

@EleanorKonik @DavidKGrills @obsdmd Oh, not the same issue as I had. I have "supervised" admin access on my machine. Everytime I run something as an admin (e.g. the installer), it goes through a whitelist or otherwise gets manually reviewed.

[Émile Grégoire @emgre21]

@EleanorKonik @DavidKGrills @obsdmd It would really help to have a portable executable that you don't need to install. Faced the same thing at work, they don't want to make an exception, claiming OneNote is the goto app. I already have an Obsidian commercial license that I paid myself...

[Émile Grégoire @emgre21]

@theprincessxena @a_hoverbear Without an explicit output video codec, ffmpeg transcodes to H.264 using libx264 with some default settings. The logs prints the exact codec and settings used.

[Émile Grégoire @emgre21]

@fasterthanlime Have you heard about frequency droop control? When synchronous generators are connected together, they are coupled and they all "know" the frequency without any other communication link, so they can cooperate to control the frequency even across hundreds of km. Feels like magic.

[Émile Grégoire @emgre21]

@__xuorig__ @ptolts Oh indeed, anyone can build a shell app in a weekend, it proves nothing. But that company, even if they are as awesome as they claim to be, could not build the actual app, since there was no public tender to start with!

[Émile Grégoire @emgre21]

@__xuorig__ @ptolts The lack of public tender, the shell "consultant" company acting as a shield to hide the subcontractors, a nice collection of red flags I've been raising, not only for ArriveCAN. A public inquiry on government IT procurement is more than urgent.

[Émile Grégoire @emgre21]

@TechConnectify If the halves of the split outlet are not connected to the same circuit, make sure to use a double-pole circuit breaker. Otherwise, there's a risk of thinking the outlet is denergized while one of the half is actually still hot.

[Émile Grégoire @emgre21]

@ThreatNotation Dancing on Peter Gabriel's "Solsbury Hill" and realizing it's a 7/4 song that kinda flips between 3+4/7 and 4+3/7 was my musical awakening. "My heart going BOOM-BOOM-BOMM" dropping a little triplet to add even more spice.

[Émile Grégoire @emgre21]

@jadamcrain It was not very active during the pandemic, I think the PlugFest is to get it restarted. I know that Eaton and SEL will be presenting applications, but I'm not sure what I can disclose atm.

[Émile Grégoire @emgre21]

Hey everyone, I'll be in Charlotte NC next week for the OpenFMB PlugFest 2.0 with colleagues from Eaton. If you're near, feel free to reach out so we can meet!
