I worked with @fawcettsociety 35 years ago, when I was helping to run The 300 Group campaign for more women in Parliament. Things have moved on, but their work is as important as ever.
Proud to be part of the @fawcettsociety Commission whose report 'Unlimited Potential' is published today. By challenging gender stereotypes across education, the commercial sector and parenting we can remove the barriers that hold all of our children back https://t.co/1cdVwO9p75
Congratulations to our local cinema and cultural centre @RichMixLondon for a really well-organised, comfortable and enjoyable first night of operation on Friday. The staff were sooo enthusiastic and pleased to be back. Oh, and the film (Tenet) was great too! Just what we needed.
Good news for schools on catch up funding but @BBCr4today why no questions about why 16-18 year olds left out again? No summer meals funding. All this on top of lower normal funding than secondary. Why are these children excluded every time? @RealGeoffBarton@AoCDavidH
This is by far the best piece I've read about the emerging picture for tech-mediated learning - distributed learning. 'The future is not “online”, it is not “remote”, and it is not “distance”.' says Simon Harper @ManchesterUniv@Wonkhe

**Do you work in career guidance** - in policy or as a practitioner? If so, please take 20 mins to complete an unprecedented international survey on guidance in the pandemic: https://t.co/UgVajfffrf. Deadline: 30 June. Available in multiple languages. Thank you!
@TraceyM31699641 @MPSHackney If your data are correct, 5% ARE at risk. And they might be carriers. As a fit, healthy 60 year-old who exercises in Vicky park every day, I’d be v grateful if thoughtless people could stop putting MY life (and those of the police etc) at risk. Thanks!
So @easyjet still not offering auto refunds for cancelled flights. You have to phone customer services and when you do you are told they are really busy and it hangs up. @Ryanair had a refund button and money has already been received. Know who I'll be booking with in future.
Millions of children should not be unfairly disadvantaged by the measures to combat #covid19UK
Our new report calls for an emergency support package to save the ‘children of the pandemic’ from becoming its unseen victims 🚸🦠THREAD 1/6

Excellent article from @miss_mcinerney - why not let anybody sit Oxbridge finals. Learning is something we do ourselves - not have done to us (let's ban the phrase 'deliver learning'). Link it to @U3A_UK and you'll REALLY have lifelong learning! https://t.co/tmSOmuAKd7
New report from @NP_Partnership argues that Progress 8 gives too much emphasis to schools, rather than government & society, as primarily responsible for national underperformance of particular groups. https://t.co/AOKiBGwPWL
Interesting take on the Children's Commissioner's recent report on fall in attainment at 19. It's all about the changes in what counts, although achievement has still flatlined. https://t.co/KNTwSQHOFw via @FFTEduDatalab
Enormously depressing article by two EU academics working at post-92 universities, who have finally given up and left the UK (but not just because of Brexit). https://t.co/v6QCKJZABE via @timeshighered
This is perfect 😂
If everyone in edtech read this, and, crucially, *believed* it (as opposed to being chippy about it), the world would be a better place.
Last year’s A-Level analysis by @MaryCurnockCook and @Cairneagle was the third most popular blog we published in the whole of 2018. Here’s their take on this year’s results - English and Maths look out!
