@Onogork@Maxx_JNM Quick question on the plugin, have you considered adding support for all instances with Color3 and ColorSequence properties? I use it all the time and I only wish I could use it more (on a full ui, on particleemitter/trail/beam, on decal/texture, even on lighting/postprocess).
@sleitnick @booganyaa It achieves the same effect visually but at different costs. RenderStep should be avoided as much as possible, as it delays the frame rendering and can lead to severe performance lost quickly. Clearly in this case, task.wait or heartbeat are perfectly smooth and should be used.
@hlelo_wolrd It requires a custom character controller though to be able to play around humanoidrootparts like this. Luckily, with the new physics controller, it's even easier to recreate humanoid like behavior.
@hlelo_wolrd There's ways to do it though. It's a bit hacky but you can move the HumanoidRootPart to the client listener, or vice-versa. We do it in riotfall and I think so does frontlines. Few people actually use the feature though.
@plasma_node Lastly, for your information, one 2048 texture is the equivalent of four 1024, not two! Throw that in the hands of most Roblox developers and we have a 4x loading time on 98% of the front page.
If you have any questions don't hesitate :)
@plasma_node - For flipbooks, we've found that having multiple particle effects mixed with flipbooks usually does a great job at bringing resolution sharpness back. However, I'd say this would be the #1 use-case for 2048 textures.
@gubbnah@Elttob_ I feel like this simply resonated because it confirms the popular idea that Roblox is not in communication with people who use studio for their living, because nobody really asked for this. IMO this is a first step to a more modern workflow, but so far it's pretty janky hahaha.
@gubbnah@Elttob_ I think it's definitely something that's been blown out of proportions. It's definitely a weird direction mostly because it lacks all the foundation for this to work great; sorting, good search, renaming, reordering, folders, etc. But it really isn't that bad, just weird.
