The 5/6’s at @Riversideps set some serious educational and personal goals for growth today! So many amazing conversations and self reflection. I can’t wait to look back on this & all they’ve accomplished in a few months time.
These 7/8’s got to participate in an amazing tech rotation at the Bracebridge @georgiancollege campus the other day. I have never seen them work so well together & the smiles were endless! Thank you to the awesome profs that shared their knowledge and skills with us!
Students explored theories to get pencils to stick to the wall without anything other than the pencil itself. Once the first one stuck we all had to get in on the fun. No pencils or walls were harmed & we were all able to find a pencil easily for our math test! 🤭
@lcfettes Right? One of them did it first and we all stood there like 😮 completely perplexed lol! Wander down tomorrow and I’ll have them show you an in person demonstration!
What a great day for these Grade 8’s to explore their future stomping grounds while participating in some amazing tech rotations! @TLDSB_Pathways I see some kids heading your way!
Thanks for an awesome day @HuntsvilleHS@KatiePellerin
@lcfettes@IDA_Ontario@morrice_julie@TLDSB Oh this makes my heart so happy! @morrice_julie is such a phenomenal educator and resource for the educators she supports. Congratulations Julie! So deserved. I am grateful for your support through my years with @TLDSB
Students worked on displays to share their knowledge about cells and ecosystems! We had younger students come in and ask questions to learn something new!
@Riversideps
@Ready2020Ru@Sflecce They just took mine because apparently the only rooms that are ‘allowed’ to have one are rooms without windows and kindergarten. 😔
One of the first art activities I did with my class was this ‘my life is in my hands’ where the students shared what mattered most to them. It was a great way to get to know them as people and artists.
Grade 7/8’s have spent the last week and a half developing their own Timbit’s. Ss created new flavours, identified their audience, created an advertisement that used various marketing techniques featuring delicious sounding creations! Clay model replicas too! @Riversideps
@JasonTCarey2@ColinDMello They took more than that and paid parents instead. It’s not a money issue. They don’t value or care about public education. End point.
Loved working alongside @HarveySteph today while we got to know more about stress and how it affects us. Sparked some wonderful conversations that carried throughout the day.
The intermediate students at Riverside are recognizing the signs/symptoms of our body, mind, emotions, & behaviour during stressful situations. Thanks to Ms Hickling’s class for a great morning! @Riversideps @emilyhickling_@TLDSB
