One year today since we premiered MANufactured @BACKendal. This was an amazing experience as a company, and since we have performed the piece at @SocietyDanceRes@RoyalHolloway, and presented a paper about its themes. We hope to have more news about the future of this work soon!
"Emily held up before our eyes the potential of dance and body language for storytelling and translating complex narratives into dance." Check out our wonderful testimonial from Laura Gianvittorio from our performance of Deluge at the University of Vienna. https://t.co/KcrgdXKa3w
@MissLisaPE Having trained in contemporary dance I would always say barefoot is best. Helps you have the best connection to the floor helping balance and also preventing any worry of slipping.
We're sorry to say unfortunately we will not be performing Deluge at Watch Out Worcester tomorrow. The event has been cancelled due to protests by the EDL. We want to say thank you to everyone at @Dancefest they put into organising the event and trying to keep it running!
We’re taking to the streets of #Worcester this Saturday at 12-4 with free pop up arts for the whole family! https://t.co/jxutBMCjCt #WorcestershireHour
Last year we performed 60s inspired Silkscreen|Machine @Dancefest 's Watch Out Worcester festival. We are looking forward to returning this year on 21 July with Deluge, which has previously been performed at Oxford University and The University of Vienna. Times & locations tbc.
Today we got through some snaps from our performance at Narratives in Motion in the beautiful University of Vienna Classics Library. Next stop, @Dancefest 's Watch Out #Worcester festival on 21 July!
Our programme for #WatchOutWorcester is looking amazing - we know there’ll be a bath, a sofa, a woolly mammoth & a whole bunch of dancing bodyguards! Take part in this Saturday’s workshop if you’re 13+ and want to be part of this afternoon of free art https://t.co/jxutBMCjCt
After our successful performance in Vienna, we're excited to announce we will be bringing Deluge back to #Worcester (Emily's hometown) for Watch Out Worcester on 21st July, an outdoor dance festival run by the wonderful @Dancefest ! Stay tuned for times and locations!
Narratives in Motion kicked off yesterday in the most beautiful setting at the University of Vienna Classics Library. We couldn't be happier with the reactions to our speech and performance. So many interesting questions which have helped provoke further lines of investigation.
Today's the day! We're performing Deluge and speaking about the process of translating Ovid in to dance at 18:45 at the University of Vienna. But first we're enjoying the city, and looking forward to listening to other academics fascinating research!
No room at the inn today, so had to have a short makeshift run through in the corridor. Next week we are re-rehearsing with the Roman mask. Only 12 days to go until we perform Deluge at the University of Vienna!
Happy to finally be able to share footage from our performance of Deluge at @SomervilleOx@TORCHOxford back in May 2017. We can't wait to take the solo to Austria in June for Narratives in Motion, an ancient dance symposium at the University of Vienna! https://t.co/7xc15eP4DR
Thank you so much to @SocietyDanceRes for giving us the opportunity to perform MANufactured at their conference yesterday. It was amazing to present alongside academics, learn about their research, and get feedback on our work! https://t.co/yDV4l451oS
Provoking reflections about transcendence, cross-temporalities and exhausted bodies in this afternoon's performance presentations from @MilVukovic, Atabey and @emilymaydt#SDR#danceconference
