Lo ocurrido a la llegada de Uzbekistán al Icahn Stadium de Nueva York ha generado una enorme polémica.

La selección asiática fue sometida a un protocolo de seguridad nunca antes visto para un simple partido amistoso. Revisiones exhaustivas, controles desproporcionados y un trato que muchos califican como degradante para una delegación internacional.

El momento más tenso llegó cuando un oficial de seguridad le gritó al utilero uzbeko: “¡ALÉJESE DE LOS BOLSOS!”.

Jamás se había visto una requisa de esta magnitud contra una selección visitante en territorio estadounidense.

Una escena que ha provocado indignación y que muchos consideran una falta de respeto hacia Uzbekistán.

What a performance.

After falling 1-0 behind, the Turkish Cypriot national team produced a remarkable comeback, scoring six unanswered goals to defeat Padania 6-1 and lift the CONIFA European Championship.

Four goals from Erhun Öztümer, alongside strikes from Şoför and Çalban, sealed an unforgettable victory for the Turkish Cypriot people.

After decades of sporting isolation, our national team has shown exactly what Turkish Cypriot football can achieve when given the opportunity to compete internationally.

European Champions.

Congratulations to every player, coach, volunteer and supporter who made this possible.

Today belongs to the Turkish Cypriot people. ❤️
