Partners In Health announced that its founder, Dr. Paul Farmer, unexpectedly passed away today in his sleep while in Rwanda.
Dr. Farmer was 62 years old. He is survived by his wife, Didi Bertrand Farmer, and their three children.

7/7 So what I’ve learned in #quarantime: For public health to be effective we need to support individuals. Personal & public health don't exist independently. We can’t expect individuals to take personal measures to safeguard the public, if we can’t support them in their efforts.

Big news from Pfizer, with apparent high efficacy (>90%) based on 94 confirmed COVID-19 cases at their interim analysis.

The date is November 3rd, 2020 and walking into my shift I learned that we converted our hospital’s ambulance bay into a decon and triage area in preparation for unrest on Election Day in the United States of America.
Hospitals across the country have done similarly.
