Teachers in Scotland, on the same pay scale, are being offered nearly 10k more than some teachers in England. People never respect education and this insulting offer from the government just confirms it.
#PayUp
How can the government expect schools to fund the pay offer? Schools. Have. No. Money. Most teachers would rather have schools funded sufficiently rather than offering pay rises
#PayUp
Reasons there is a Teachers strike:
- Pay has declined 24%
- Per pupil funding is below 2010 levels
- Workloads are unmanageable.
- We can't recruit/retain teachers or support staff.
Not reasons for a Teachers strike:
- "Militant" Trade Union leaders.
