@DanNeidle @asianick85 VAT is a big brake to small businesses I don’t think anyone can argue against that. The fact the turnover level hasn’t moved is akin to not raising income tax levels (it traps more people). So a brave move is what?

@JayMitchinson It can work if done correctly. In Scotland it just looks like councils view it as a way to claw back some revenue. Yes to big cities, no to areas outside where providers are already struggling enough already.
