Today is the anniversary of my HIV diagnosis.
I was 30 and had lost many friends to AIDS.
The doctor told me that with treatment I could expect to live another twenty years.
That was 26 years ago.

I am desperately sad to hear of Maddy's passing. I used to attend her writing workshops. She was wonderful and taught us all so much. She was so generous with her time. She always made time to help and support us. Thank you Maddy. My thoughts are with her family and loved ones.
