The newly-renamed Eavan Boland Library at Trinity College Dublin will be the first building on Trinity’s campus to be named after a woman. It took 432 years. 432!
So while I was waiting on the case being heard, this is a small snapshop of what was before the magistrate this morning: A man charged with slashing a woman across the forehead with a bottle aggravated by domestic abuse. A man charged with assault and coercive control of his ex partner. A man accused of raping his ex partner, he was on bail for assaulting the same woman at the time of this alleged offence.
