I think Vault encourages a safe space for artists to experiment. The whole of the internet isn’t a safe space to experiment. People don’t realize how much emotional rawness it takes for an artist to put themselves out there.
the act of creating is like throwing up what threatens to poison us if we were to hold onto it for too long.
create your art. throw up your poison. watch yourself become free. ❤️
trauma creates repression. suppression. we shove things down, shut our mouths, swallow our words and our tears and our passionate righteous anger or our love or grief.
creating art is the exact opposite of this. we let things out so we can let them go.
