Tomorrow at Court 4 of @FederalHigh in Abuja, @OfficialDSSNG will initiate one of the more spectacular cases of weaponization & #AbuseOfPower in recent #Nigerian history.

It concerns a land dispute in Shendam, in Plateau South. @GTsenyen, former chairman of @NigBarAssoc in Shendam, accuses the current president of @NGCourtofAppeal of involvement in forcibly taking his family land. He has sued & the matter is pending in the High Court of Plateau State in Shendam.

Mr. Tsenyen also did a petition to @NJCNig against the president of the Court of Appeal but the #NJC said the matter does not rise to judicial misconduct & should be left to the civil courts to decide.

In a bizarre twist, the #SSS is now charging Mr. Tsenyen with some unimaginative "crimes" under the #Cybercrimes Act arising from posts he made on the community WhatsApp platform about this matter of the allegation of theft of his family land by the President of the Court of Appeal with whom he comes from the same village.

This matter arose in Plateau State but they have managedtoi invent a federal charge in Abuja. The tragedy here should be lain to everyone.

Plateau State is struggling with massacres on an agricultural scale. The SSS has the primary constitutional duty to end it. Instead, it is derailed into being used for a matter that could not possibly in any way engage the internal security of the country.

A group of residents have staged a symbolic "commissioning" of the Akwete section of the Obehie–Azumini Road in Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia State to draw attention to the poor condition of the road.

According to the organisers, the event was intended as a symbolic protest highlighting what they described as decades of neglect of the road, which links Abia and Akwa Ibom states. They noted that despite Akwete producing several political leaders over the years, the community continues to contend with a severely deteriorated road.

The organisers said the symbolic commissioning of the road's potholes was aimed at drawing public attention to the need for government intervention and the reconstruction of the federal road.

At the opening of the new head office of Inibehe Effiong Chambers yesterday in Lagos, we had the pleasure of hosting Hon. Justice Oludotun Adefope-Okojie (Rtd), a reputable and foremost jurist who retired from the Court of Appeal of Nigeria, as our Special Guest of Honour.

We were equally delighted to host my mentor, respected human rights lawyer and former President of the West African Bar Association, Mr. Femi Falana, SAN, as the Chairman of the occasion.

Mr. Olumide-Fusika, SAN also registered his presence.

The Chairman of the Ikeja Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr. Quadri Adeniyi, was in attendance.

The Head Steward of the Layers of Truth Church International, Pastor Adedoyin Akerele came all the way from Kaduna and prayed for the firm.

Mr. Geoffrey Uzono of Channels Television was also with us. Popular political cartoonist, Mike Asukwo also graced the occasion.

Our courageous Precious Oruche, popularly known as MamaPee, came from Abuja to celebrate with us, amongst other respected and prominent friends of our firm.

We were only able to invite a handful of people due to time constraint.
