I love choir!!!

[Bianca Pineda @BiancaPinedaBHS]

Participating in the #NJACDAHS Festival for the first time. So exciting! #Excellence

[Emma Britez @EmmaIBritez]

@barbara_mell0 I agree. Same idea seen in "if this has not been a gentle woman, she...buried out o Christian burial" (5.1.24) #hamlit

[Emma Britez @EmmaIBritez]

@cgehan1 and immediately after H's soliloquy, Ophelia comes to speak to him. Audience would maybe anticipate H's suicide, not O's #hamlit

[Emma Britez @EmmaIBritez]

@EmmaIBritez similarly, when Claudius dies, L says C is "justly served". Earlier he was on C's side, now he disapproves of actions #hamlit

[Emma Britez @EmmaIBritez]

Is Laertes apology to H in Act5,sc2 sincere? Does the fact that L is about to die contribute to or detract from the sincerity #hamlit

[Emma Britez @EmmaIBritez]

@cploveslit agree, she wouldn't disobey w/o reason. I think she may have also drank as her own form of protest + her own death wish #hamlit

[Emma Britez @EmmaIBritez]

@EmmaIBritez "is she to be buried in Christian burial, when she willfully seeks her own salvation" (IV.i.1-2) #hamlit

[Emma Britez @EmmaIBritez]

Act5,sc5 the gravediggers discuss Ophelia's Christianity and burial, considering she committed suicide #hamlit 2/2

[Emma Britez @EmmaIBritez]

Interesting how religion is a factor in the story- Act3,sc3 H considers the religious implications of killing Claudius/himself #hamlit 1/2

[Emma Britez @EmmaIBritez]

@katemorandi99 Interesting that L's revenge seems more acceptable than H's. Polonius' murder was accidental, King Hamlet's was not #hamlit

[Emma Britez @EmmaIBritez]

@cploveslit In this way I feel H is a more likable Shakespeare character. He seems less mad and has a justification for his actions #hamlit

[Emma Britez @EmmaIBritez]

@Drm2999 H may be "mad" for wanting such serious revenge (by that logic so is Laertes) but not bc he claims to see the Ghost #hamlit

[Emma Britez @EmmaIBritez]

@Drm2999 although when H talks to the Queen she cannot see the Ghost, there were other characters that saw it earlier #hamlit

[Emma Britez @EmmaIBritez]

@Drm2999 Hamlet seems more intelligent, however in contrast to other Shakespeare characters, we cannot really see Hamlet as crazy #hamlit

[Emma Britez @EmmaIBritez]

@cgehan1 his conscience-when he goes the 2nd time to ask Mr.Hale 4 money but realizes what a lie he would tell and turns back #falzfrome

[Emma Britez @EmmaIBritez]

@cgehan1 I agree, but I also notice that Ethan is very self aware&has a conscience, it is not all societal pressure telling him #falzfrome

[Emma Britez @EmmaIBritez]

@cploveslit the cat sits in Zeena's rocking chair. Ethan notes- “She’ll be rocking in it herself to-morrow” (83) no escape/relief #falzfrome

[Emma Britez @EmmaIBritez]

@cploveslit cat symbolizes Zeena's looming presence in the house. Ethan cannot escape her even when she is physically not there #falzfrome

[Emma Britez @EmmaIBritez]

@dballbhs "return to reality was as painful as" (83) For Ethan, being with Mattie is a fantasy, and reality w/ Zeena a nightmare #falzfrome
