@WeTheMagpies@Popstonox In PA primaries, there are only two. Being registered under either gives people more options. You can choose candidates who would run as independents or third parties but run under those umbrellas.
@WeTheMagpies@Popstonox We in PA live in a two-party state. In Philly, the winner of the Democratic Primary on May 19th will be our congressperson. So serious progressives have to run as Dems.
@GoodVibePolitik I saw you filming at this forum. Have you posted the full footage anywhere? I want to review some of the highlights and lowlights. Please and thank you for sharing.
@bburnworth@CurledMossy@HaileyMasses4@drmarkhyman Is the current administration going to invest in helping people with what it deems the best choices when the president eats fast food regularly? That's a big fat "no."
@johnjfair@WonderKing82 Very few people talk about white poverty. Too many pretend it doesn't exist. It's sad and makes some people delusional. #poverty
@PhyllisKDick @Classxxy @WonderKing82 'Rates' are different than numbers. According to Census data, white people comprise 56.8% of the population but 37% of SNAP beneficiaries, making them the highest recipient group at a lower rate than their population #.
@allenanalysis It's not ignorance. The separation of the ACA and Obamacare nickname was the only way advocates could get people in many areas to accept it. I know because I was one of the people fighting to expand it. #ACA
@LadolabS@Knickstape2005@cjgproduxions Voting on Election Day is just part of the strategy. There are no other jobs where folks get hired, and the people hiring them don't manage, correct, or monitor them for 2, 4, or 6 years. The real work of voters starts after Election Day.
@christinmassey@reallydrsam@swd2@MeghanMcCain The ACA became law in 2010. Time passes so fast. There are millions of people on those plans or who depend on the protections written in the law. Repealing it would create dire circumstances for many.
@MikeLeighTorres@BehizyTweets It's not just Jamaica. U.S. Black folks unofficially adopt people all the time. @RealCandaceO is taking people down a nonsensical rabbit hole.
@IamTHREEE I swear this is the dumbest rabbit hole I've seen. Anyone who's not trying to distract Black folks knows we will unofficially adopt folks into our families.
