@campbellclaret @brexit The deplorable saga goes on. I'm immune, being French. We finally got French nationality for my husband on the grounds of being married to me. Look on the bright side: Brexit will mean he can vote against Le Pen at the next presidential election !
BBC apologises to Farage, @BBCSimonJack apologises to Farage etc
When's effing Farage going to apologise to young people for stripping them of their right to study, live and work all over Europe - and to the rest of us and them too for that matter for that and all the rest ?!!!
@suemcdonald342@AlexTaylorNews@DavidGHFrost I don't know how bands managed before the EU. But I know how individuals (like me) managed before the EU: appallingly badly. Weekly registration as "alien" with the UK police for example. Membership of the EU had got rid of all of that for me.
We’re trying to get as many followers as Rishi Sunak so we can show the government just how many people are prepared to fight for the NHS and its staff
Please can you take a few seconds to help by following us and retweeting this?
@MichaelRosenYes 'Duh-gas' (with a short 1st syllable). Never 'day-gas', which is the standard UK rendering. My question: why this question in the first place?
For women, singing is forbidden in Iran. This woman is bravely singing in one of Esfahan’s most historical mosques. When the security agent tried to stop her, she resisted and continued. Brave Iranian women like her will some day bring down this most anti-woman regime.
A rumour had it that Khan was going to illuminate City Hall with the colours and stars of the EU flag in response. Undoubtedly fake news but would that it were true !
Since 1955 this is, also, the flag of the Council of Europe. The UK was a founder - and is still a member (as is all Europe except Belarus and Russia)
The EU, also, adopted it in 1986
How on earth can you prosecute someone for using the flag of an institution you belong to ? 👇
Similar lines here. Granddaughter, 22nd century, etc. No Bertrand Russell for me, but instead, a cousin whom I knew when she was 80 (and I was 19) used to reminisce about attending as a child the National Funeral of Victor Hugo.
My granddaughter could live to the 22nd century. Her grandfather (me) used to see Bertrand Russell speak in Trafalgar Square. Bertrand Russell's grandfather met Napoleon.
Seven years on from Brexit, I have a message for European Londoners: thank you for staying.
As long as I’m your Mayor, I will do my utmost to ensure London continues to be a beacon for progressive ideas and liberal values—a place you feel welcome and proud to call home.
The European spouse of a Brit Remainer, I have no time for Brexiteers and a massive dose of anger for the resulting catastrophe. We have managed to protect our freedom by buying expensive car insurance (no 90-day limits) and by getting my husband an EU passport (no 90 day limits)
@AlexTaylorNews Someone in my family voted for Brexit, knowing it would make the future complicated for those in the family with European spouses (me included). That person justified their vote saying "I just think it will be OK". They've since bought a house in Italy but can't retire there.
